Just like our lifestyle, modern day work is flexible, fluid and multifaceted. We are expected to switch from creative thinking to planning, meetings and group collaborations, yet our current workplace environment stays the same. The underlying belief behind each of the Eitherland’s work ‘elements’ is that the quality of work life matters and that there is no one-design-fits-all when it comes to engagement or inspiration. Different structures, layouts, textures, and finishes are always tailored to create a work “ecosystem” that is as unique as the space, brand DNA or talent itself.
In a knowledge society team performance often beats individual output. Every detail from circular benches to oversized ‘post-it’ surfaces and dedicated presentation area has been designed to promote areas of spontaneous collaboration and stimulate discussion and idea sharing.
Contamination is a mix of connecting people with different objectives and backgrounds as well as creating a space to facilitate the flow of ideas. Bar table, large co-working area and secluded presentation space allows to foster connections between people, increase the points of interaction and stimulate exploration and curiosity needed to stay innovative.
Designed for deep thinking the environment has been conceived to keep distractions to the minimum. Secluded “hideaway” elements promote better concentration and uninterrupted focus, which results in increased productivity. Comfortable ergonomic benches help to keep the posture in the optimal position while in the state of work ‘flow’.
Creativity and inspiration can not be rushed. They need space and time to mature and breathe. This space has been designed to help people see things from a different perspective, zoom out, reflect, meditate and switch gears between analytical left-brain thinking and intuition and creative thought.
